I bougt the water softening kit - HCWS528 - and I've used it twice so far. It is very strudy and easy to set up. It has taken our hard water, which was showing maximum hardness on the test strips included, down to fully soft. The digital water fow meter is a great asset too. It is showing I'm using about 24 litres of water to clen our 8 large solar panels thoroughly. So it will be a good while before I need to recharge the system with salt. The connections fit all our standard Hozelock garden sytem and my existing telescopic brush kit with no leaks. So far it's proved excellent.
