The Transavia / Wizz Air bag I ordered looks as expected. However, when I order a bag measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm, I want a bag of those dimensions, not one that measures 40 x 30 x 18 cm. That is indeed 2 cm too narrow, and I really have to stretch the material to get the size right. This bag is no more than 18 cm wide, not 20 cm. So, I called ByMetz to ask for an explanation. The representative confirmed that the bag is only 18 cm wide. "That is stated in the product description," said the ByMetz employee. "By filling the bag, it stretches and then becomes 20 cm. You can also achieve this by putting socks in the bag, which causes it to bulge." I've never heard such a strange and unbelievable sales story before. This simply isn't true.
