The rating is based on a 'Likert scale', in this case, consisting of 1 to 5 stars that translate as a number to 2 to 10. According to this formula, a score of 3 stars equals a 6. This formula results in a score of 1 star giving the online retailer a 2 and not a 1 or 0. The displayed score is an average of all ratings, with and without review text.
External sources
In addition to the score calculated with our own reviews, reviews from external platforms can also be included in the average score at ValuedShops. These reviews count equally in the average score. Thus, 100 reviews at ValuedShops (with an average of 9) and 100 reviews collected elsewhere (with an average of 8) lead to an average score of 8.5.
