Elektronica voor jou

I placed an order on November 29 at 'Elektronica voor jou' with the promise of same-day delivery via DHL. Understanding potential delays during busy periods, I was disappointed when the delivery only took place on November 30 without any proactive communication from the seller. What is even more frustrating is their refusal to refund the shipping costs (€7.95). This stands in stark contrast to my experiences with other online stores like Coolblue, Bol.com, Amazon, Megekko, and Alternate, all of which offer refunds on shipping costs in case of delays. It is disappointing that 'Elektronica voor jou' hides behind their terms and conditions without compensating their customers for the inconvenience. It is important to mention that their terms and conditions do NOT state that shipping costs will not be refunded in case of delays. I checked this both before ordering and after the delay. This suddenly makes it feel very impersonal and no longer 'for you.' A simple gesture like refunding the shipping costs would mean a lot and would show that they take their customers and their promises seriously.
