    Allereerst, een duidelijke website met een vrij ruime keuze aan kostuums en wapens. Dat is natuurlijk leuk, maar ik ben nog tevredener met de manier waarop ik geholpen ben. Ik had namelijk schoenen besteld in mijn eigen maat (45), maar toen ik ze kreeg bleken ze klein te vallen. Toen heb ik daarover contact opgenomen met de klantenservice en zij zouden maat 46 opsturen, ik hoefde alleen de schoenen terug te sturen, daarvoor maak je dan natuurlijk wel wat kosten, maar slechts 6,50 en dat blijft uiteraard het risico van het online bestellen. Toen de bestelling iets vertraagd werd, kreeg ik hier netjes bericht van en werd mij goed duidelijk gemaakt wat de leverdatum was. Al met al ben ik zeer tevreden met hoe ik behandeld ben en de kwaliteit van de producten die ik heb gekocht.

    Celtic Web Merchant has a lot of good things. Nice products, low pricing, and their customer service replies fast. However, besides their fast replies, the customer service isn't all that good. I ordered a bevor from them a while ago. First, they sent me the wrong bevor. After sending it back and not hearing from them for a few days (they said they'd ship the right product right away), I heard that the proper product was not in stock. They asked if I wanted to choose another product or receive my money back. However, I got nothing for the trouble. I couldn't choose a more expensive product with the price difference being (partially) compensated. They offered no compensation whatsoever, saying it has something to do with the bookkeeping. Strange, since other stores don't seem to have any troubles with the bookkeeping in such situations. Conclusion: Nice quality products for a low price, fine delivery times, but even though their customer service replies fast, the service itself is of low quality. EDIT: I was sent an email by the store, accusing me of using this review to pressure them into giving me some form of compensation anyways. This is extremely rude and unheard of from a quality webshop. My conclusion is: great products and pricing, awful service.

    Celtic WebMerchant is simply the best shop I have found for any Medieval or Renaissance items. The staff are friendly , knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are great, specially if you take the free shipping into account (there is a minimum spend for this, but with such a huge selection of items I have never found this a problem). If you are in the UK, you have to have a little bit of patience, as they ship from the Netherlands via Germany which I assume is the cheapest route, if not the shortest (and I am all for that). On the rare occasion you have a problem, this will always be fairly, and quickly, sorted out, and you do not pay for return costs, or have to arrange a courier! If you are looking for items that Celtic WebMerchant does not have at the moment, ask them first if they can get it before buying from one of those German companies that have a large selection. Most likely they use the same suppliers, and they definitely offer better service.
