I have needed to replace my old US Army style longe cavesson for years. It has a soft padded nose band with threee rings, is adjustable on both sides of the headstall with a jaw strap to keep the headstall from sliding towards the horse's eye and a throat-latch to keep it from slipping off over the horse's head. It has attachemnt on the headstall to add a bit. The Art of Riding has the first humane well-designed longeing cavesson with almost all those qualities I have come across. The headstall and brow-band of this cavesson are an improvement on my old model, designed so they should not rub the base of the horses ears. It is well-stitched good quality leather. And the price is very reasonable for the quality of workmanship.
