This is to prevent items from disappearing in the mail and to settle any future disputes with PostNL or the customer. Additionally, I find the advantage of this is that you can track the package and that PostNL keeps you informed. Personally, I have no problem if the shipping costs are slightly higher when you select this option. Long story short, I am very satisfied. The next order will definitely take place here again.
